Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 11, 2026
1. Agreement to terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Proxy Politics website (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About our services
Proxy Politics provides political consulting and campaign technology services, including: AI campaign agents that integrate with campaign systems and databases; AI-powered audits of campaign data; email outreach programs; SMS and text message programs; digital fundraising support; and data analytics and reporting. Information on this Site describes our services generally; it does not constitute an offer, and no client relationship is formed by using the Site or submitting an inquiry. Consulting engagements are governed by separate written agreements, which control over these Terms in the event of any conflict.
3. Client systems access and authorization
Certain services involve connecting our AI agents and tools to systems and data sources a client campaign uses — voter files, email and SMS platforms, donation processors, spreadsheets, and similar systems. By granting us access, the client represents and warrants that it has the authority to do so, that its use of those systems and data complies with applicable law and the terms of the underlying platforms, and that it has obtained any consents required for the data involved. Clients may revoke access at any time; all access is revoked at the end of an engagement.
4. AI-generated outputs
Our AI agents and audits produce answers, findings, and reports generated in whole or in part by artificial intelligence. While we design our systems to be accurate and review significant findings, AI outputs can contain errors or omissions. Outputs are provided to support — not replace — the client's own judgment, and material decisions (including anything with legal, financial, or compliance consequences) should be verified before acting. Specific accuracy commitments, if any, are set out in the applicable engagement agreement.
5. Data ownership
Client campaign data — voter, supporter, donor, engagement, and performance data — remains the property of the client campaign at all times. Ownership of deliverables and work product created during an engagement is defined in the applicable engagement agreement. Our handling of campaign data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. No guarantee of results
Elections are inherently uncertain. Nothing on this Site — including descriptions of past work or partnerships — is a promise or guarantee of any electoral, fundraising, or other outcome.
7. Client responsibilities and compliance
Campaign finance, election, telemarketing, and anti-spam laws impose obligations directly on candidates and campaigns. While we design and run programs in accordance with applicable regulations — including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and carrier requirements such as 10DLC registration — legal responsibility for a campaign's filings, disclaimers, consent records, and reporting (including PDC and FEC reporting) remains with the campaign and its treasurer. Clients are responsible for the lawfulness of lists and data they provide to us. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
8. Intellectual property
The Site and its content — text, design, graphics, and logos — are owned by Proxy Politics or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written consent. Names of third-party campaigns and organizations referenced on the Site are the property of their respective owners.
9. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Site in any way that violates applicable law.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems.
- Do not use automated tools to scrape or harvest content or data from the Site.
- Do not submit false, misleading, or malicious content through our forms.
10. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites, and a link does not imply endorsement.
11. Disclaimer of warranties and Site information
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
All content on the Site — including service descriptions, statistics, FAQ answers, client references, and any figures or benchmarks — is provided for general informational purposes only. It may contain inaccuracies or become outdated, and we may change it at any time without notice. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, financial, tax, or compliance advice, and no content on the Site should be relied upon as the basis for any decision. You are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it, and Proxy Politics accepts no liability for actions taken in reliance on Site content.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Proxy Politics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Proxy Politics from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington State.
15. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
